Next Generation LonWorks® Fibre Optic Transceivers
2L Technologies have developed the next generation of LON (Local Operating Network) Fibre Optic Transceivers, introducing a higher level of intelligent networking for LonWorks® applications.
The multimode (up to 3Km between nodes) and single mode (up to 80Km between nodes) devices are LonMark® compliant SMX format fibre optic network transceivers.
Each product provides a fibre optic network interface for an appropriately configured LonWorks® node or subnet, enabling it to communicate with other LonWorks® devices over a self healing, redundant fibre optic ring network. 2L are the only supplier who is able to offer 'tailored' fibre optic connections, determined by the user/application. Thus 2L offer an extensive portfolio of Fibre port options to help drive the best cost efficiencies for the customer. The transceivers are built using the standard SMX form factor. These network cards are compatible with LonBuilder®, LonMaker, LNS® and SMX adapters, as well as a wide variety of third-party products that use the SMX transceiver format.

Next Generation Fibre Optic LonWorks® Router
2L Technologies have developed the Next Generation of LON (Local Operating Network) Fibre Optic Routers, introducing a higher level of intelligent networking for LonWorks® applications. 2L Routers implement all the LonWorks® functions, including: Configured Router; Learning Router; Bridge or Repeater. 2L are the only supplier who are able to offer 'tailored' fibre optic connection ports determined by the user. The routers use the open standard LonTalk® communications protocol on both the copper and fibre sides. 2L Routers are a cost effective networking solution ideally suited to all applications: connecting copper twisted pair networks, point to point, or as a large multisite network backbone with hundreds of nodes, over a fully redundant, self healing, fibre ring. 2L Routers are simple to install straight out of the box, and are fully compatible with LonMaker® and all LNS based network management tools.

2L Copper LON Routers implement all the LonWorks® functions, including: Configured Router; Learning Router; Bridge or Repeater. The routers use the open standard LonTalk® communications protocol on both the copper ports. 2L Copper Routers are a cost effective networking solution ideally suited to all applications connecting copper twisted pair networks together, and/or extending networks to interconnect to other LON networks. 2L Routers are simple to install straight out of the box, and are fully compatible with LonMaker® and all LNS based network management tools.
